The Process

Every project runs in eight steps. Homes and vacation rentals differ at a few of them.

Bespoke Residential Design

  1. Discovery

A call to confirm the fit, then a simple questionnaire about how you live.

  2. In-home consultation

We walk the house together and talk through your goals, budget, timeline and vision.

  3. Proposal & onboarding

Your proposal and design agreement set out fees, timeline and budget.

    Your part: review and sign.

  4. Measurements

We measure and photograph the house, and any furniture you’d like to keep.

  5. Design

Floor plans first, then furnishings, finishes, custom pieces and 3D renderings, presented with samples.

Your part: review and approve. We’ll handle the rest.

  6. Procurement

We order each approved piece and track it to your door.

  7. Trades

On renovations and new builds, we manage the trades until their work matches our drawings.

Your part: pay the trades directly.

  8. Installation & reveal

We install and style every room. Then comes our favorite moment, the big reveal.

Luxury Vacation Rental Design

Blush velvet sofa, gold floral wallcovering and cocktail art beside floor-to-ceiling windows over Nashville in The Velvet Hour
  1. Discovery

A call about the property, the market, your budget and your plans for the portfolio.

  2. Market & competitive analysis

We learn who books in this market, and why. That becomes the home’s strategy.

  3. Proposal & onboarding

A proposal and design agreement set out the scope, fees, timeline and furnishings budget.

    Your part: review and sign.

  4. Design

A brand and a concept for the home, then every room planned around the guest.

    Your part: review and approve.

  5. Procurement

We favor trade-only brands and hospitality-grade linens, and log each purchase.

  6. Implementation

We manage the work remotely and coordinate the local trades on site.

    Your part: the payments.

  7. On-site styling

Diana spends the final three to four days styling and closing the punch list with your contractor.

  8. Photoshoot

Diana prepares the home and directs the photoshoot, so the listing shows it as designed.
